June 2022 - The children are learning the song Ani Ohev Shokolad - אֲנִי אוֹהֵב שוֹקוֹלָד They learned the words and wrote sentences.



May 2022- Learning the word דָלִיק - Flammable, לֺא דׇלִיק - Not flammable. The children learnt about what Israeli children do on Lag BaOmer in Israel.


May 2022 - Year 2 are learning a song in Ivrit - אֲנִי אוֹהֵב שוֹקוֺלׇד - I Love Chocolate! They have learnt how to use the verb אוֹהֵב/אוֹהֶבֶת.



March 2022- Pesach words and phrases in Ivrit




March 2022 - Year 2 started learning about the season Spring - אַבִיב. They learnt a wonderful song אֵיךְ יוֹדְעִים שֶבָּא אַבִיב and discovered which flowers and symbols tell us that Spring is here in Ivrit. Here is the link of the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPKZP-bbiws



March 2022- Book Week in Ivrit - הַלֵיצׇן שֶנִרְדַם ‘The Clown who Fell Asleep’. They had fun creating their own boxes - קוּפְסַאוֹת - ready to add their clowns to jump out.





March 2022 - Year 2 are getting ready for Purim

January 2022 - The children in Year 2 learnt a song for Tu BiShvat. They learnt all about different fruits we eat and wrote the words in Ivrit.


November 2021 - Chanukah. Year 2 are learning a song and actions about the colours of the Chanukah candles. Please go over the words of the song with your children.


November 2021 - Chag HaSigd and the Beta Yisrael community (see Ivrit page - Whole School Events - for more details). The children learnt about the different traditions of Chag HaSigd focusing on the colourful umbrellas that the Kissim carry during their celebrations. They recreated their own versions.





October 2021 - עוֹנַת הַסְתׇו - The Autumn Season. The children have been learning a song in Ivrit and are able to say and recall and read many words connected with the season




September 2021 - Year 2 have been learning about the Chagim - Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur in Ivrit. They learnt how to greet each other in Ivrit - שׇנׇה טוֹבָה - Shana Tova. They learnt the word סְלִיחׇה (sorry) and thought about who they would like to say sorry to סְלִיחׇה אִמׇא, סְלִיחׇה אֲח קָטָן etc. They are starting to learn how to conjugate plural nouns.
