Other Key Information:
In line with Kerem’s School Uniform policy, all children should be wearing appropriate foot wear which include black or blue closed shoes or trainers. i.e. no sandals. These shoes must be also suitable for P.E. Please make sure there are no flashing lights on trainers.
Girls should only wear blue or black hairbands.
In the afternoons, pick up will be from the main door. The children will only be dismissed once the teacher has called their name.
If your child is going home with someone other than yourself or the regular collector please ensure this is written on the sheet on the board next door to your child’s classroom. Please write as follows: Child’s name – grandma.
If this information is not written we are unable to dismiss your child, even if the collector is recognized. We will then call you to clarify this.
Please either send in or email a photograph of all the adults who will be collecting your child from school. Due to strict security, if the adult picking up is not known to the security guards they will not be let in. It is imperative that you email us any changes so that we can inform security.
As all our children enjoy arts and crafts, please make sure the school apron is purchased and placed in their shoe bag, which needs to be filled with spare clothes, underpants, knickers, socks etc. All items must be named.
Please make sure your child has a set of waterproofs and Wellington boots so that they do not miss out on any outdoor experiences.
As we are introducing lunches on Wednesday 18th September, please advise us of any special dietary requirements i.e. vegetarian.
If your child is ill in the morning then an email should be sent as soon as possible to the school office and your child's teacher. If your child has a medical appointment and you know in advance please email the office. All other requests for time off must be emailed to Ms.Simon's for authorisation.
Please ensure all medicals forms and parent questionnaires have been returned to your child’s class teacher by Monday 9th September.
Celebrating your child’s birthday in school
We will celebrate your child’s birthday in school. Parents/grandparents are welcome to come in just before drop off for the celebration. Your child can wear their own clothes. (Please do not send them in their best clothes as they still may get involved in messy play.) At the end of the day they can give each of their classmates a special treat to go home. (It must be a kosher snack -- nut and sesame free). eg small cup cake, raisins or a healthy fruit snack. (no sweets)
Shabbat Party. We will be running weekly Shabbat parties. When your child is on the Shabbat table they can wear their own clothes. (Please do not send them in their best clothes as they still may get involved in messy play.) We will provide the Shabbat snack.
We will keep you updated of what your children have been up to via the school blog, including pictures during the school week. (This will not be every day). On Friday there will be a detailed blog containing key highlights of the week as well as any key information you will need to know for the following week. Please make sure you read this.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact Miss Cowen by email, tcowen@keremschool.co.uk -- Emails will not be answered before 7.30am or after 6.30pm during the week. No emails will be answered during the weekend.
Looking forward to seeing you on Monday.
Shabbat Shalom
The Nursery Team
Please can you encourage your child to use self registration when arriving in the morning. Please help your child find their name on their bee.
Please take the opportunity to reread the EYU handbook please - and ensure that you are familiar with the school uniform requirement (in particular dark trainers) and the process for requesting absence from school.
Please introduce yourself to your child’s key worker.
Please make sure that you write down who your child is going home with if it is someone other than yourself or the regular collector. Please ensure this is written on the whiteboards by the appropriate doors.
If you are visiting the school for a meeting or taking your child out of school early (having requested permission from Miss Burns) please remember to sign in and out from the red file kept in the lobby downstairs.
Gates will open 5 minutes before drop off and pick up, for security reasons please do not congregate outside the school gates. We thank you for your understanding.
