“What did you do today?”

Parents often find that when they are their child “what did you do today?” the response is “nothing”. Of course that is not true so try these questions instead and we’re sure you will find out lots about their day.

What is your favourite part of the school day?

Tell me something you know today that you didn’t yesterday. What made your teacher smile today?

Were you a good friend today?

Who (plural) did you sit with at lunch time? 

What did you do that was creative?

What games did you play at lunch time?

What was the best thing that happened today?

Was there anything that surprised you today?

Was anything about today challenging?

What did you eat for lunch today?

What are you looking forward to tomorrow?

What was the hardest rule to follow today?

What made you feel happy today?

Teach/show me something that you learnt today.

What were the best 2 things from your day today?

Did anything make your teacher frown today?

Is there anything you wished didn’t happen today?
