Ivrit - עִבְרִית
Year 5 have come to the end of the topic on Pets and will be given an assessment next THURSDAY 27TH JUNE 2019. Please see the links below for the vocabulary and instructions for Morah Sharon's group. Morah Neta's group will be given a written test.
Year 5 will begin a new topic - Pets - חַיּוֹת מַחְמָד W/C 13th May. Here is the vocabulary for the topic

W/E 15th March 2019 - The children in Year 5 have now finished the topic of Cheder Sheli - הַחֶדֶר שֶׁלִּי (My Bedroom) and will be ready to start the new topic : ?אֵיךְ אֲנִי נִרְאָה ( How Do I look?) Below is the vocabulary for this topic.
W/E 8th March - The children in Moran Neta’s Group completed a written test based on the topic My Bedroom - החדר שלי. The children in Morah Sharon’s group completed an oral assessment by presenting their projects to the class.

February 14th 2019 - Early Morning Read - some children in Year 5F listened to the story - The Giving Tree - העץ הנדיב - they were able to understand most of the words in Ivrit and follow the story.
February 12th 2018 - BOOK WEEK in Ivrit - שבוע הספר. The children in Year 5 have listened to the story - An Appartment for Rent - דירה להשכיר. They learnt who lives on which floor and why they didn’t want to rent the room out. Finally the dove - יונה was happy to rent the room out as she loved all the neighbours which is more important than how the room itself looks.

Morah Neta's group have designed their own bedroom(הַחֶדֶר שֶלִי) and described it in Ivrit.
W/C 21st January 2019 - The children are continuing to learn vocabulary and phrases for החדר שלי - My Bedroom. Morah Neta’s group have started to design their own room in class which they will present as part of their assessment. The children in Morah Sharon’s group will start their project (designing and presenting a bedroom) at the end of the half term. There will be a mini test on vocabulary and prepositions this Thursday 24th(Morah Sharon's group only). The children have taken home their books with the vocabulary. They will need to know plurals too. Please see attachments below for the relevant vocabulary.
W/C 7th January 2019 - Welcome back to a new term in Ivrit. The children are staring the topic of My Bedroom - הַחֶדֶר שֶלִי. Please find attached the vocabulary.

October 25th 2018- Year 5 have been given a reading book in Ivrit. There will be a ‘Silent Reading’ session every Thursday in the lesson. There will also be an opportunity for the children to read individually with the teacher to monitor their reading and understanding. The books will remain in school.
September 27th 2018 - Vocabulary for Clothes Year 5 - בְּגָדִים
September 27th 2018- Year 5 are inspired by the painting ‘Jewish Family’ by Mark Gertler during Artishrei. They recreated the family describing the characters in Ivrit.
