Year 4 have had a busy half term and have now completed the topic of - 'My Classroom' - הכיתה שלי. They can say many items in their classroom and pencil boxes (including plurals and colours) and have learnt how to say 'in' בְּ and 'inside' בְּתוֹך as well as 'there is' יֵשׁ to make accurate and more complex sentences. Finally they learnt the verb  - כותב/כותבת 'kotev/kotevet' (write) and revised the verb 'lomed' from the last topic. 

The Israeli theatre company came to perform the show 'Peter Pan' and the children learnt many key words and phrases in Ivrit including - ,אני טוב אני אמיץ אני מאמין בעצמי, 'ani tov, ani amitz, ani maamin b'atsmi' (I am good, I am brave, I believe in myself). 

Finally the term ended with the project 'The Many Faces of Israel'. Year 4 focused on Moroccan Jewish wedding traditions and even made their own Fez hat.

Year 4 have finished the topic of - 'Bet HaSefer Sheli' (My School). They have created their own timetables in Ivrit and presented them, saying which subjects they learn on which day and which subjects they love best - אני הכי אוהב/אוהבת.......

Some children are able to use the infinitive verb ללמוד (to learn) and all the children are able to use the verb לומד  - learn, and אוהב  - love. Kol HaKavod Year 4!

Year 4 are enjoying the topic of - 'Bet HaSefer Sheli' (My School). They can now say which subjects they learn on which day according to their timetable in Ivrit. They will soon be ready to present their timetable in Ivrit and say which subjects they love best.

Year 4 started a new topic in Ivrit - 'Bet HaSefer Sheli' (My School). See Topic Vocabulary for details. They revised the days of the week and started looking at some of the subject names in Ivrit. They will soon be ready to present their timetable in Ivrit and say which subjects they love best.
