Kerem Community Marathon

At Kerem, we are good at generating a community feel and we don't feel that during lockdown things need to be different. We have now reached the end of our Children's Mental Health Week and we wanted to do something that would get everyone on the move and feeling good, whilst doing something for others. We have put together this challenge that meets all five of the '5 Ways To Wellbeing', to help you focus on how these can contribute to you feeling good.

We thought this would be a good opportunity to support JAMI, as this challenge is in aid of Children's Mental Health Week. Please consider giving what you can and if you feel it is appropriate, asking for sponsorship from family and friends. If we all give a little, we can make a lot! Family members can donate directly to ensure we are keeping to the rules of lockdown! However, the main aim of this is to continue feeling good and healthy so please don't feel pressured to ask.

We hope you will all join in with our challenge from 31st January until the 11th February. See the form below to help you plan and keep a record of your progress. Hopefully, you can enjoy having a purposeful and fun way to change up your walks for the next 2 weeks.

We would love to see photos of your progress which you can send to At the end, we will ask you to complete a Google Form so we can work out how many marathons the Kerem community has completed collectively. You will be able to upload your own progress as well as the progress of family members who have completed the challenge with you!

Year 5 Marathon

As Year 5 have exactly 26 members of the class including the teaching staff, they decided to complete their own Year Five Marathon. As there are 26.2 miles in a marathon, Pepsi kindly offered to complete the last bit. Here is a video highlighting some of their efforts. The children really threw themselves at the challenge, completing their miles in a variety of ways from a back wards walk to roller skating and even completing a mile whilst in a cast!
